Job summary

Paycom is seeking a Substitute Teacher for the Child Development Center in Columbus, GA 31904. The role involves stepping in for the lead teacher, following daily lesson plans, and supporting classroom staff to maintain a safe and engaging learning environment.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED and at least one year of experience with infants and toddlers in a childcare setting; CDA or AA in ECE is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements: High School Diploma and/or GED and at least one year experience with infants and toddlers in a childcare setting.
• Preferred qualifications: Child Development Associate (CDA) certificate or an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education.

Responsibilities

• Implements daily lesson plans and daily schedules.
• Organizes and maintains learning centers within the classroom.
• Maintains order by using positive approaches to behavior management.
• Recruits volunteers and solicits in-kind contributions.
• Attends meetings, trainings and workshop as required.
• Maintains cleanliness of classrooms and adjoining restrooms.
• Serves as an advocate for the Head Start Program, families and children.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
