Qualifikationen

• Must hold a valid Tennessee teaching license with endorsement in 460, 461, or 105.
• Must have a B.S. in Special Education.
• Experience working with students with disabilities and knowledge of applicable laws and regulations.
• Strong written and verbal presentation skills and ability to work with diverse stakeholders.

Aufgaben

• Provide direct instructional and consultative services to eligible students with disabilities per each IEP.
• Attend IEP-Team meetings and assist in determining eligibility and program placement.
• Consult with general education teachers on accommodations and materials for students with disabilities.
• Conduct required student assessments to determine eligibility and program needs.
• Administer data gathering assessments and lead discussions on data explanations with staff and families.
• Develop and maintain student IEPs and required paperwork.
• Manage day-to-day classroom operations.
• Plan curriculum and prepare lessons considering individual needs and abilities.
• Maintain a disciplined, safe, and welcoming classroom climate.
• Participate in faculty meetings, conferences, and professional development.
• Maintain endorsements, licensure, and ongoing professional development as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
