• Must meet health, physical and background check requirements.
• Must hold a valid Tennessee teaching license with endorsement in #460, #461, or #105.
• Must have successful training and/or experience working with students with disabilities.
• Must have thorough knowledge of and ability to apply Federal and State regulations regarding assessment, identification, placement, and services to eligible students with disabilities.

Mansioni

• Provide direct instructional and/or consultative services to eligible students with disabilities as specified in each student's IEP.
• Attend IEP-Team meetings to assist in determining eligibility for special education services and developing IEPs.
• Consult with and advise general education classroom teachers serving students with disabilities on matters pertaining to special needs (accommodations, materials).
• Conduct required student assessments to determine eligibility for special education services and placement decisions.
• Administer data gathering assessments to guide instruction and lead discussions with staff and parents.
• Develop and maintain student IEPs and all required paperwork in a timely, accurate manner.
• Assume responsibility for day-to-day operation of the classroom.
• Plan curriculum and prepare lessons considering individual student needs and abilities.
• Maintain a disciplined and orderly classroom and welcoming learning climate.
• Participate in faculty meetings, conferences, trainings, and professional development.
• Maintain professional endorsements and licensure through ongoing development and training.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
