Job summary

Evergreen Public Schools at Wy'East Middle School in Vancouver, WA is seeking a Special Education Paraeducator to support students with IEP goals and assist the classroom teacher.

The role is 6 hours per day (9:35 a.m. – 4:05 p.m.), 190 days per year, with state-required training upon hire and eligibility for EPS benefits. Candidates must meet minimum education/paraeducator requirements.

Qualifications

• Must meet age and education requirements as listed above.
• Paraeducator eligibility can be met by one of the specified options.
• Must complete state training after hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist in supervising instructional activities for students.
• Provide one-to-one and small group support per teacher instructions.
• Assist with classroom materials, data collection, and progress monitoring.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

ETS ParaPro Assessment (455+)

Associate degree or higher

72 quarter credits / 48 semester credits at 100 level+
