Job summary

Bottleneck Management is seeking a hands-on Sous Chef to be second in command in our kitchen, executing the Executive Chef's vision and ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction. You will help design menus, mentor staff, and maintain high standards of quality and service in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate brings 3+ years as a Sous Chef, strong leadership, and comfort with restaurant software. This role reports to the Executive Chef and requires a flexible schedule including weekends.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a Sous Chef
• Understanding of cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
• Strong kitchen and staff management experience
• Ability to handle emergencies with quick, effective solutions
• Familiarity with industry best practices
• Proficiency with restaurant software tools (MS Office, POS)

Responsibilities

• Assist in design and preparation of menus
• Produce high quality plates with attention to design and taste
• Ensure kitchen meets quality standards and operates timely
• Support Executive Chef in planning and directing food prep
• Train and manage kitchen staff and schedules
• Order supplies and maintain inventory; enforce sanitation and safety standards
