Job summary

Backtofront LLC is seeking an experienced Sous Chef to collaborate with the Executive Chef in creating innovative menus and preparing exceptional meals. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with a passion for culinary excellence and the ability to manage a busy kitchen.

You will oversee line cooking, plating, training, and inventory control while driving revenue and ensuring top quality, consistency, and safety across all service periods.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Extensive culinary experience.
• Culinary school certification preferred.
• ServeSafe or Food Handler’s Certification.
• Advanced knowledge of culinary techniques.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent management and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Line cooking proficiency across all kitchen stations.
• Prepare and plate food according to kitchen specifications.
• Assist Executive Chef to increase revenue and profit.
• Supervise and coordinate all food preparation and presentation.
• Provide training and leadership for kitchen staff.
• Maintain inventory levels and negotiate with vendors for quality products at best price.
• Follow all food safety rules and regulations.
