Job summary

Berger Briggs Insurance & Risk Solutions seeks a Small Business Account Manager to handle a book of small commercial accounts, typically under $15,000 in premium. You’ll be the primary contact for clients, manage renewals, and quote new business through carrier portals and rating systems.

You’ll renew, endorse, and service accounts, identify coverage gaps, cross-sell where appropriate, and maintain accurate policy documentation in our agency system while collaborating with producers and carriers.

Qualifications

• Active New Mexico Property & Casualty license.
• 3+ years commercial lines insurance experience.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Experience with agency systems (Applied Epic is a plus).

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned book of small commercial accounts from new business through renewal.
• Serve as primary day-to-day contact for clients and respond to service and coverage needs.
• Manage renewals, including gathering updated information, reviewing coverage, marketing accounts, quoting, and binding.
• Quote new and renewal business through carrier portals and comparative rating systems.
• Process endorsements, cancellations, reinstatements, payments, audits, claims reports, and other policy transactions.
• Review policies and endorsements for accuracy and issue certificates, auto ID cards, evidence of property coverage, and other documents.
• Identify coverage gaps and opportunities to cross-sell appropriate products.
• Maintain accurate and timely client and policy documentation in the agency management system.
• Work closely with producers, carrier partners, and other team members to resolve issues and provide excellent client service.
