Job summary

UniFirst is seeking a Route Coverage Specialist to support delivery routes when Route Service Representatives are unavailable. You’ll learn multiple routes, deliver garments and products, and ensure timely service to customers along established routes.

You will provide excellent customer service, solve problems, and follow safety protocols while collaborating with service and management teams on invoicing, inventories, and route improvements.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record.
• Meet all DOT requirements, including a physical exam.
• High school diploma, GED, or military service required.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to work independently.
• Prior experience in customer service, route sales, or delivery is a plus.
• Comfort using new technologies to improve efficiency.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Develop proficiency across multiple routes and customer specifics.
• Deliver garments and products along established routes; collect returns.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain customer relationships.
• Resolve customer requests with problem-solving skills.
• Accurately manage invoices, conduct inventory audits, and maintain vehicle safety.
• Follow traffic laws and company safety standards.
• Support new account installations and route rerouting; upsell where appropriate.
• Share customer feedback with location leadership and monitor local competition.
