Job summary

Goodwill of Central and Coastal Virginia is seeking a part-time associate to support store operations. You will contribute to the mission by processing donations, maintaining a welcoming store appearance, and ensuring customer and associate satisfaction.

Duties include sorting, tagging, and placing items on the sales floor, while upholding safety and quality standards. The role requires flexibility to work evenings and weekends, with a criminal background check required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred; will consider a combination of education and work experience.
• No previous experience required.
• No professional certifications are required for this position.
• The associate will be required to successfully pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Inspects donations and raw material for quality to determine marketability per Retail Operations Manual.
• Sorts raw material and categorizes for store use, salvage, or trash.
• Stands and tags donated items according to Goodwill’s rotation system.
• Stands and hangs sorted goods for placement on the retail sales floor per productivity standards.
• Produces the required number of items daily to meet minimum standards.
• Adheres to uniform dress code standards.
• Demonstrates an enthusiastic and positive attitude.
• Work as a team member in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
