Job summary

Goodwill of Central and Coastal Virginia is seeking a Retail Associate Production in our finance area. The role focuses on processing donations efficiently, maintaining store appearance, and ensuring customer and associate satisfaction.

You will handle donations, prepare items for sale, and collaborate with team members in a fast-paced environment. The position requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, occasional evenings/weekends, and adherence to safety and security policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Will consider a combination of education and work experience.
• No previous experience required.
• No professional certifications are required for this position.
• The associate is not required to drive as part of their job duties.
• The associate will be required to successfully pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Inspects donations and raw material for quality to determine marketability.
• Sorts raw material—categorize for store use, salvage, or trash.
• Tags donated items according to rotation system.
• Hangs sorted goods for placement on the retail sales floor.
• Produces appropriate number of items each day according to minimum standards.
• Adheres to uniform dress code standards.
• Communicates effectively with customers, peers, and management.
• Cross trains in multiple production and customer service positions.
• Adheres to Assets Protection controls and procedures.
• Able to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment and learn new procedures.
