Job summary

Goodwill of Central and Coastal Virginia is seeking a part-time retail associate in Richmond, VA. You will process donations, maintain store appearance, and support customer and associate satisfaction on the sales floor.

Key duties include inspecting donations, sorting materials, tagging items, and following the Retail Operations Manual. The role requires teamwork, reliability, and ability to work evenings/weekends.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred; combination with work experience considered.
• No previous experience required.
• No professional certifications are required for this position.
• The associate is not required to drive as part of their job duties.
• The associate will be required to successfully pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Inspects donations and determines marketability per Retail Operations Manual.
• Sorts materials for store use, salvage or trash.
• Tags donated items according to rotation system and places them on floor.
• Cross trains in multiple production and customer service positions.
• Adheres to safety, security, and schedule requirements.
• Communicates effectively with customers and management.
