Job summary

Stanford University seeks a Research Administrator 2 to support faculty Principal Investigators in developing and submitting external research proposals. The role coordinates pre-award activities, ensuring proposals are complete, accurate, and aligned with sponsor and Stanford requirements.

The RA 2 will manage diverse proposals, including grants, contracts, program projects, and cooperative agreements, across multiple PIs and cross-school collaborations.

Qualifications

• Complex proposal preparation experience in an academic environment.
• Experience managing multiple projects and timelines in a dynamic research setting.
• Extreme attention to detail.
• Working knowledge of sponsored project guidelines and the research regulatory environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage pre-award activities for external proposals.
• Independently manage a variety of research proposals (grants, contracts, program projects, cooperative agreements).
• Work with PIs, subaward sites, and cross-school collaborators to ensure timely and accurate submissions.
