Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with five years of job-related experience.
• Certified Research Administrator (CRA) certification.
• Experience managing multiple projects and timelines in a dynamic research setting.
• Experience preparing clinical research and clinical trial proposals.
• Extreme attention to detail.
• Working knowledge of sponsored project guidelines and the research regulatory environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complex proposals within parameters of sponsored and non-sponsored research guidelines and oversee submission processes.
• Develop, revise, and finalize project budgets with budget justification; coordinate cost sharing.
• Collaborate with the Office of Sponsored Research to ensure awards are set up correctly and cost-sharing requirements are met; initiate cost transfers.
• Review expenditures, advise on post-award spending and compliance related to funds and revenue.
• Develop reports and forecasting models to support project status and decision making.
• Manage contract closeout processes and respond to audit inquiries; submit final reports and certificates.
• Interpret complex policies (FAR, CAS, OMB circulars, etc.) for project personnel and guide staff.
• Identify process improvements; participate in cross-campus projects; train and advise staff.
• Oversee and review work of other staff; may supervise and mentor.
