Job summary

Gfoat is seeking a Recreation Coordinator to assist in planning, coordinating, and implementing a variety of recreation programs for the parks and recreation department and the Burgess-Rushing Tennis Center. The role includes supervising recreation staff and coordinating athletic leagues and tournaments.

The position requires a bachelor degree in recreation, physical education, or a related field, plus experience or a combination of education and experience, along with a valid driver's license

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in recreation, physical education, or related field with an additional one year of responsible recreation experience; or any combination of relevant education and experience which provides the following: Valid Current Driver's License; Physical Exam Required

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, supervising, and conducting recreation programs, including athletic leagues and tournaments, or specialized recreation
• Supervise officials and other employees
• Assist in preparation of budget and program measures for an assigned area of recreation
• Assist in preparing grant applications for program funding and assist in grant administration
• Assist in collecting and accounting for fees paid for recreation programs
• Develop and coordinate marketing and retention strategies
• Perform related duties as directed

Education

Bachelor's degree in recreation or related field

One year of recreation experience or equivalent
