Job summary

TEEMA Solutions Group is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide treatments under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist across outpatient, inpatient, and other clinical settings. The role emphasizes implementing individualized plans that restore function, improve mobility, and reduce pain within a collaborative rehabilitation team.

Qualified candidates hold an Associate Degree in PTA, licensure in the state of practice, and prefer EMR experience.

Qualifications

• Associate degree PTA from an accredited PTA program.
• Current PTA license in the state of practice.
• BLS certification preferred or required per facility policy.
• Experience in outpatient orthopedics, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, home health, acute care, or other therapy settings preferred.
• Experience with EMR systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy treatments under supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Implement treatment plans established by the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Assist patients in improving mobility, strength, balance, coordination, and functional independence.
• Instruct and supervise therapeutic exercises, gait training, and use of assistive devices.
• Document treatment sessions and patient progress accurately.
• Educate patients and caregivers on treatment plans and home exercises.
• Maintain patient safety and adhere to infection prevention and HIPAA policies.
• Prepare treatment areas and maintain therapy equipment.
