Job summary

HCA Florida Palms West Hospital in Palm Beach County is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to work under supervising physical therapists, helping patients regain mobility, build strength, and reduce pain.

This PRN opportunity requires an AS or AAS PTA degree and an active Florida license; BLS certification within 30 days of hire is also required. Daily tasks include leading therapeutic exercises, tracking progress, educating patients, and collaborating with the care team.

Qualifications

• Associate of Science or Associate of Applied Science from an accredited PTA program.
• Current state PTA license (e.g., Florida).
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Physical ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Care: Lead patients through therapeutic exercises and modalities.
• Monitor Progress: Track patient responses and document results.
• Educate: Instruct patients and families on use of devices and home programs.
• Collaborate: Work with physical therapists, nurses and aides to support recovery.
