Job summary

HCA Florida Brandon Hospital is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our team on a PRN basis. You will provide treatment and rehabilitative services under the direction of a Physical Therapist to help patients improve mobility and reduce pain.

The role emphasizes patient education, collaboration with health care teams, and commitment to compassionate care. Candidates should have an Associate degree, Florida PTA license, and BLS; inpatient rehab experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• Clear/active State of Florida Physical Therapy Assistant license.
• Current Functional Independence Measure (FIM) required.
• Experience in an appropriate healthcare setting – inpatient rehab – preferred.
• Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide treatment and rehabilitative services under supervision of a Physical Therapist.
• Educate patients on post-care planning, devices, gait and functional training.
• Record, monitor, and review clinical data and modify treatment plans as needed.
• Collaborate with patient service departments to coordinate educational outreach.
