Job summary

Autumn Lake at Madison in Madison, CT is hiring a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a full-time on-site role. You will provide treatments under licensed PT supervision, assist residents with strengthening, gait training, transfers, and mobility, and help implement individualized plans.

This position offers $33–$36 per hour, medical/vision/dental, 401(k), PTO, holidays, CE support, and opportunities for professional growth within a supportive rehab team.

Qualifications

• Active Connecticut Physical Therapist Assistant license required.
• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• New graduate PTAs are welcome to apply.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy treatments under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Assist residents with strengthening, balance, gait training, transfers, endurance, and mobility.
• Carry out individualized treatment plans established by the supervising PT.
• Monitor resident progress and communicate updates to the therapy team.
• Educate residents and caregivers on exercises and safe mobility techniques.
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with therapy, nursing, and interdisciplinary team members.
