Job summary

Ultimate Therapy Services is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a full-time role at Autumn Lake at New Britain in New Britain, CT. The PTA will support residents’ mobility, independence, and recovery by delivering treatments under a licensed PT, and collaborating closely with the care team.

Responsibilities include exercises, gait training, transfers, documentation, and ensuring safe, effective rehabilitation.

Qualifications

• Active Connecticut PTA license required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative care team
• Skilled nursing or post-acute experience preferred, but not required
• New graduate PTAs are encouraged to apply

Responsibilities

• Deliver physical therapy treatments under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist
• Assist residents with therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance, transfers, and functional mobility
• Follow established treatment plans and support individualized rehabilitation goals
• Observe resident response to therapy and communicate progress to the supervising PT
• Reinforce safe mobility techniques and exercise programs with residents and caregivers
• Complete required clinical documentation accurately and on time
• Work collaboratively with therapy, nursing, and other members of the care team
