Job summary

Ultimate Therapy is hiring a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) at Autumn Lake at New Britain, CT. The PTA will deliver treatments under a licensed Physical Therapist, assist with exercises and mobility, and support rehabilitation goals in a collaborative care setting.

The role offers $33–$36/hour, full-time status, and benefits including health insurance, 401(k), paid time off, and continuing education opportunities. New graduates are encouraged to apply and join a diverse rehab caseload.

Qualifications

• Active Connecticut PTA license required.
• New graduate PTAs encouraged to apply.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative care team.
• Skilled nursing or post-acute experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver physical therapy treatments under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Assist residents with therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance, transfers, and functional mobility.
• Follow established treatment plans and support individualized rehabilitation goals.
• Observe resident response to therapy and communicate progress to the supervising PT.
• Reinforce safe mobility techniques and exercise programs with residents and caregivers.
• Complete required clinical documentation accurately and on time.
• Work collaboratively with therapy, nursing, and other members of the care team.
