Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited PTA program.
• Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant in the state; maintain license in good standing.
• Proficient in Net Health and Point Click Care.
• CPR certification, if required by licensure.
• Ability to read and comprehend technical procedures.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Treat residents as directed by the Physical Therapist.
• Complete timely, accurate, and compliant documentation.
• Maintain a safe treatment environment following infection control and safety protocols.
• Assist nursing with training of Restorative Aides.
• Communicate with the supervising PT for timely updates to the care team and families.
• Provide in-services on training programs for staff as needed.
• Educate residents and families on treatment goals, home exercise programs, and safety strategies.
• Recommend durable medical equipment to support independence in mobility.
• Maintain confidentiality of residents' information and company data.
• Report problems with department equipment for proper maintenance.
• Contribute to quality assurance and rehabilitation program development.
