Job summary

North Shore Surgical Suites is seeking a PreOp/PACU RN to deliver comprehensive perioperative nursing care from preoperative assessment through PACU recovery. You will support anesthesia emergence, assist physicians in procedure rooms, and ensure patient safety, comfort, and privacy while following organizational policies.

The role requires an accredited RN degree, active RN license in the state, and BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications, with at least 2 years in PreOp PACU, Med/Surg, or Critical Care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN program.
• Active RN license in the state.
• BLS, ACLS and PALS certification required.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in Pre Op PACU, Med/Surg, or Critical Care; ambulatory setting preferred.
• Strong communication and nursing judgment; able to prioritize workload.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care for all patients from pre-op through PACU.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms with tasks, conscious sedation, and sterile techniques as appropriate.
• Provide total comprehensive patient care emerging from anesthesia and/or sedation; discharge preparation.
• Maintain patient-family centered perioperative care and report to the Manager of Peri-Operative Services.
