Job summary

PACS is seeking a Staff Physical Therapist Assistant to assist the Staff Physical Therapist with resident-related activities and direct resident care in a skilled-nursing setting. You will document timely and accurately, maintain infection control standards, participate in care conferences, educate residents and families, and help with equipment needs, safety, and discharge planning.

An associate degree from an accredited PTA program is required, with familiarity using Net Health and Point Click

Qualifications

• Education and/or Experience: Associate Degree from an accredited PTA program.
• Language Skills: Ability to read technical procedures.
• Mathematical Skills: Fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions.

Responsibilities

• Treat residents as directed by Physical Therapist.
• Complete timely, accurate, and compliant documentation.
• Maintain a safe treatment environment via infection control and safety protocols.
• Participate in Resident Care conferences and Rehabilitation meetings.
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on treatment goals and home exercise programs.
• Recommend and facilitate ordering of necessary durable medical equipment.
