Job summary

Reliant Management seeks a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in San Rafael, California, to assist the Physical Therapist in providing treatment and rehabilitation. This full-time or PRN position supports patient care, implements plans, monitors progress, and maintains a safe, productive clinic environment.

You will administer exercises and modalities, educate patients and families, document responses, and assist with scheduling and administrative tasks.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited PTA program.
• Current physical therapy license for state of operation.
• In good standing with regulatory agencies and licensing boards.
• Ability to multitask.

Responsibilities

• Administer and implement treatment plans as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist, including exercises, gait training, and neuromuscular re-education.
• Apply therapeutic modalities such as heat, cold, ultrasound, and electrical stimulation.
• Instruct and assist patients with devices like crutches, canes, walkers, and wheelchairs.
• Observe, document, and report patient progress to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Educate patients and families on follow-up home exercise programs and care techniques.
• Maintain a clean, safe treatment area and ensure supplies are stocked.
