Job summary

Sweetwater Care in San Rafael, CA is seeking a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant to support a Physical Therapist in helping patients recover and regain independence after illness, injury, or surgery.

Under supervision, you will assist with treatment plans, document services for billing, and help patients improve strength, mobility, balance and gait. A California PTA license or eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Valid Physical Therapy Assistant license or certification in the state of practice, or proof of license eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Support patients to recover and rehabilitate under licensed therapists.
• Assist with quality patient care under supervision.
• Document all services for accurate billing of therapy services.
• Ensure patient care follows the Plan of Care and organizational guidelines.
• Under supervision of a Physical Therapist, develop and implement individualized therapy programs.
• Identify need for and refer to other disciplines under supervision of a Physical Therapist.
• Other duties may be assigned at any time with or without notice.
