Job summary

UnitedHealth Group, a leading health services company, is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant for home care services. The PTA will implement the treatment plan, provide patient education, and coordinate with supervising PT and care team.

The position emphasizes delivering therapy in home settings, following state laws, and ensuring patient safety. Weekend availability is required and a comprehensive benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• Current, licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy.
• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation.
• Available to work a weekend rotation.

Responsibilities

• Follow state laws governing provision of PT in home care and perform procedures as defined by supervising PT.
• Instruct and aid patients in active and passive exercise, gait, ADL, transfer, and prosthetic training.
• Observe, record, and report patient responses and coordinate care with the healthcare team.
• Instruct patients, family, caregiver, and others in therapy within the scope of PTA.
• Function in home settings regardless of patient demographics.
