Job summary

UMass Memorial Health seeks a licensed Physical Therapist to evaluate, plan, and implement rehabilitation programs for diverse patient populations. You will collaborate with physicians, educate families, and contribute to discharge planning.

The role requires MA licensure, strong communication, and teamwork within a busy outpatient/inpatient setting. A signing bonus may be available and the department emphasizes patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from accredited PT school or equivalent.
• Current license to practice physical therapy in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
• Successful completion of National Physical Therapy Board Examination.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Administers therapy evaluations and develops treatment plans for patients across age groups.
• Analyzes data and assesses current functional ability; consults with physician when needed.
• Provides individualized treatment plans including exercises, ROM, neuromuscular education, and manual therapy.
• Educates patient and caregivers; participates in discharge planning and documentation.
• Maintains safe, orderly clinical environment; assists with inventory and purchasing.
• Delegates caseload to therapists and oversees quality of care.
• Participates in quality improvement activities and program development.
• Supervises students according to Practice Standards.
