Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Physical Therapist to evaluate and treat patients across age groups with a focus on restoring function and mobility. The role involves planning individualized therapy programs, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and documenting care and billing activities.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy, MA license, and successful completion of the national board exam, with strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited PT program.
• Current license to practice physical therapy in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
• Successful completion of National Physical Therapy Board Examination.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer therapy evaluations and develop treatment plans for diverse patient populations.
• Analyze data, assess progress, and consult with physicians as needed.
• Provide individualized treatment plans including therapeutic exercises, ROM, manual therapy, and functional mobility training.
• Educate patients and families, participate in care meetings, and document care and billing.
• Assist with department operations, inventory, and purchasing as assigned.
