Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to evaluate and treat patients across the continuum of care. You will design and implement individualized therapy plans, collaborate with physicians, and participate in discharge planning while educating patients and families.

Responsibilities include conducting comprehensive assessments, applying manual and therapeutic techniques, and ensuring accurate documentation and billing to support high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy from accredited PT school or equivalent.
• Current license to practice physical therapy in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
• Successful completion of National Physical Therapy Board Examination.
• Demonstrated clinical knowledge.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates, plans and performs treatments to alleviate physical dysfunction using manual, functional and physical agent modality techniques.
• Administrates therapy evaluations and develops treatment plans for various patient populations.
• Analyzes data, performs assessments and consults with physicians as needed.
• Provides individualized treatment plans including therapeutic exercises, ROM, neuromuscular education and strengthening.
• Educates patients and families and participates in discharge planning and documentation.
