Job summary

Atrium Health in Advance, NC is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to provide age-appropriate patient care, evaluate and plan treatment, and educate patients and families. You will coordinate with physicians and staff to ensure quality outcomes and compliance with state practice acts.

Relocation assistance up to $7,500 is available for qualified candidates, and continuing education is supported to promote professional growth within a dynamic hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Obtained degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred or educational requirements commensurate with graduation date.
• Physical Therapy License in state(s) of employment.
• Maintains Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers.
• Maintains continuing education requirements as mandated by state professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Age-appropriate patient care across the life span per department policies.
• Perform musculoskeletal, neuromuscular, cardiopulmonary or integumentary evaluations and develop treatment plans.
• Set functional goals and monitor outcomes with patient/caregiver involvement.
• Educate patients and caregivers on diagnosis, progress, home programs and equipment needs.
• Communicate with providers and staff to coordinate care and ensure quality outcomes.
• Complete documentation for evaluations, progress notes, discharge summaries and billing.
