Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Licensed Physical Therapist to evaluate and treat patients of all ages, adjusting plans of care as needed. This role includes education for patients and families, documentation in EMR, and ensuring safety in transfers.

Relocation assistance may be available for candidates moving 50+ miles. New grads may qualify for a $5,000 sign-on bonus and candidates with 1+ year of experience may receive $7,500.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy.
• Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) per IDFPR.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days.
• Attend and complete required continuing education for acute stroke care.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient transfers with safe body mechanics.
• Provides compassionate, respectful patient interactions.
• Designs and revises plan of care based on goals and patient response.
• Educates patients, families, and staff using effective methods.
• Evaluates findings to determine PT diagnoses and outcomes.
• Performs examinations with reliable methods for chief complaint.
• Documents in EMR per CTSCP67.
• Screens patients to assess need for therapy services.
• Learns and supervises support personnel as required by law.
• Completes annual education for DNV Hip and Knee program.
