Fhnb is seeking a customer service focused teller to join our Albuquerque-area team. The role involves cash handling, deposits, and cross-selling bank services in a high-volume environment.

You will evaluate customer needs, recommend products, and adhere to bank policies while maintaining accuracy and compliance. A flexible schedule, background check, and team-oriented attitude are required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent, or currently attending high school.
• Six months of work experience in a retail or customer service environment preferred.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must successfully pass background investigation.
• Must be able to get along with co-workers and work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service, handling receipt and payment of cash in a high-volume sales environment.
• Evaluate customer relationships and recommend bank products and services.
• Follow bank policies in line with supervisor directions.
• Aim to achieve monthly new account production as assigned by management.
• Participate in in-store sales environments and prospecting.
• Process deposits and payouts; record transactions and balance daily operations.
• Receive cash and checks for deposits; verify amounts and endorsements.
• Inspect cash to guard against counterfeit items.
• Enter transactions into the computer; issue receipts.
• Sell and prepare money orders, cashier's checks, wires, and CDs; process Western Union wires and cash advances.
• Cross-sell bank services to a diverse customer base, including Spanish-speaking customers.
• Perform other tasks as requested by supervisors; maintain regular attendance.
• Approval limits will be based on established authority levels.
• Stand or walk for extended periods; work in a high-volume, potentially stressful environment.
