Job summary

Fhnb is seeking a bank teller to handle daily cash transactions and provide exceptional customer service to a diverse customer base, including Spanish-speaking clients. You will process deposits, withdrawals, and various bank products while maintaining accurate records and balancing daily activity.

The role requires a flexible schedule, the ability to work in a high-volume environment, and strong teamwork. Prior teller or retail experience is preferred, and a background check is required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Able to communicate clearly in Spanish and English
• Six months of retail or customer service experience preferred
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays
• Must pass a background investigation
• Must work well in a team environment

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service and handle cash in a high-volume sales environment
• Assess customer accounts and offer bank products and services
• Follow bank policies and supervisor directions
• Help achieve monthly new account production targets
• Participate in in-store sales and cross-selling of services
• Process deposits and cash withdrawals accurately and balance daily transactions
• Receive cash/checks, verify amounts, and check endorsements
• Enter transactions into the computer and issue receipts
• Sell money orders, cashier's checks, wires, and CDs
• Process Western Union wires and cash advances
• Provide services to a diverse customer base, including Spanish-speaking customers
• Maintain regular attendance and punctuality
• Work within established approval limits
