Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking a licensed occupational therapist to provide evaluation, treatment planning, and hands-on therapy to improve function and independence for patients across the medical system.

The role emphasizes collaboration with physicians, thorough documentation, and participation in training and quality improvement initiatives, with a 32-hour workweek and daytime shifts in a supportive, team-based environment.

Qualifications

• Licensed as an occupational therapist in WI, IL or both if required.
• CPR/BLS required within 90 days of hire.
• NBCOT upon initial licensure only, as required.

Responsibilities

• Integrates subjective and objective data to establish a treatment plan.
• Maintains a thorough record of services with appropriate coding and billing.
• Communicates with other disciplines and referring providers to enhance outcomes.
• Plans and conducts lectures and training programs on occupational therapy and related topics for medical staff, students and community groups.
• Assists in orientation, training and mentoring of new partners and participates in cost saving initiatives within the department.
