Mercyhealth is seeking an Occupational Therapist to evaluate, plan, and implement treatment addressing functional needs across diverse diagnoses. The role is full-time with daytime hours, emphasizing collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team and ongoing professional development.

The ideal candidate will have an accredited OT degree, WI/IL licensure, CPR/BLS within 90 days, and NBCOT per requirements, with commitment to high-quality patient care and system-wide improvement.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Occupational Therapy.
• Licensed to practice Occupational Therapy in WI, IL, or both as required.
• CPR/BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
• NBCOT certification as required at initial licensure.

Responsibilities

• Integrates data to establish and adjust a treatment plan.
• Uses exercise, manual techniques, and modalities to address deficits.
• Maintains accurate documentation with proper coding and billing.
• Collaborates with disciplines and referring providers to optimize outcomes.
• Performs thorough electronic documentation in a timely manner.
• Contributes to PI and CQI processes and initiatives.
• Mentors new partners and participates in orientation.
• Supports cost-saving initiatives within the department.
• Communicates effectively with therapists, assistants, and physicians.
• Plans lectures and trainings on occupational therapy topics for staff and community groups.
