Job summary

Michaels in Southern Pines, NC is seeking a Part-time Party & Event Host to plan and coordinate events inside the store, including kids' birthday parties and craft classes. You will engage guests of all ages with fun activities, demonstrate craft projects, and help with add-ons like goody bags and balloons.

Responsibilities include helping customers shop, providing fast checkout, answering emails and calls, and ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment while upholding our brand promises.

Qualifications

• Must have experience working with children and children’s events.
• Must have excellent people skills and good communication.
• Retail and/or customer service experience required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate multiple events at once, including children’s birthday parties and craft classes.
• Engage with clients of all ages, creating a fun and engaging environment.
• Demonstrate and instruct party participants in crafts; perform face painting and activities as needed.
• Facilitate party add-ons such as goody bags and balloons to company standards.
• Communicate events with clients and store team members; respond to emails and phone calls.
• Complete administrative tasks including paperwork and SOP adherence; adjust plans based on client feedback.
• Set up, run, and break down events; ensure safety and cleanliness; maintain brand standards.
