Job summary

Graybar in Oklahoma City is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to develop new prospects and maintain contacts with existing customers, selling Graybar products on a territory basis and visiting client sites.

You will meet or exceed annual gross margin, handle customer issues, keep management informed about competition, and participate in training, trade shows, and sales meetings. The role requires at least 1 year of experience, a 4-year degree is preferred, and extensive travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience required.
• 2+ years of experience preferred.
• 4 year degree preferred.
• Knowledge of business administration, sales, and marketing.
• Negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop new prospects and maintain contacts with established customers to sell Graybar products.
• Interact with prospects and customers in person at their site or other off-site locations.
• Meet or exceed annual gross margin budget by promoting and selling products.
• Handle customer complaints promptly and report potential claims.
• Keep management informed of local competition and market conditions.
• Maintain current customer records and assist in collection of past due accounts.
• Participate in training sessions, trade shows, and sales meetings.
• Demonstrate products after sale when necessary.
