Job summary

SSA Group, located at the San Francisco Zoo & Gardens, seeks a Catering & Events Coordinator to drive catering sales and ensure flawless event execution. The role requires strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills, with responsibility for client relationships and cross-team collaboration.

This hybrid/onsite position supports a dynamic hospitality environment, coordinating BEOs, budgets, and timelines to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills across all levels of an organization.
• Demonstrates leadership, team-building and development abilities.
• Excellent problem-solving, decision-making and organizational skills.
• Experience with budgeting, analytics and planning is a plus.
• Flexibility to work varying hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Secure signed catering agreements and prepare Banquet Event Orders (BEOs).
• Oversee event setup, execution, and breakdown to ensure seamless delivery.
• Coordinate with Area Sales, Culinary Team, and other departments for flawless events.
• Manage client relationships and ensure timely communication and satisfaction.
• Lead on-site event coordination and post-event follow-ups.
