Job summary

Regions is seeking a Mortgage Loan Officer to originate residential mortgage loans through a branch network. You will complete applications, analyze financial data, communicate progress to customers, and ensure compliance with lending practices.

The role includes building relationships with Realtors, builders, and financial planners, developing business plans, and cross-selling Regions products. You must have mortgage lending experience and be prepared for commission-based earnings in Louisiana.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; 1 year of mortgage lending experience with proven production.
• Strong external business development via referral partners in the market (realtors, builders, planners).
• Bachelor's degree preferred; current mortgage origination experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Completes mortgage applications for submission to loan processing and underwriting.
• Evaluates loan requests and analyzes financial data for qualification.
• Maintains contact with loan customers and tracks progress.
• Structures loans to comply with lending practices and regulations.
• Develops marketing plans and active customer outreach.
• Cross-sells bank products and services; negotiates terms.
• Reads appraisals and coordinates required documents.
