Job summary

Regions Mortgage is seeking a Mortgage Loan Officer to originate residential loans through a branch network, gathering and submitting applications, and coordinating with processing and underwriting teams.

The role emphasizes building external referral partnerships, meeting production targets, and sustaining relationships with customers while promoting Regions’ wide range of loan products.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One year of mortgage lending experience with proven production.
• Abundant mortgage experience with external referral networks.

Responsibilities

• Completes mortgage applications for submission to loan processing and underwriting.
• Evaluates loan requests, analyzes financial data, and determines qualification of collateral and customer credit history.
• Maintains contact with loan customers and communicates progress of loan and required documentation.
• Structures loan to comply with lending practices and Federal regulations.
• Establishes marketing plan and networks with potential and existing customers.
• Answers customer calls and walk-in discussions about loan products and qualification information.
• Cross-sells other bank products and services.
• Reads surveys and appraisals and addresses encroachments/violations.
• May participate in networking with professional and community organizations to promote loan products.
