Job summary

The Horsham Clinic, part of Universal Health Services, Inc., in Montgomery County, PA, seeks a Masters Level Social Worker (FLOAT) to provide psychosocial assessments, psychotherapy, and discharge planning on a designated unit. This role requires flexibility to float across units and work with diverse patient populations.

A Master’s in social work is required; LSW/LCSW/LPC/LMFT preferred. Experience with crisis intervention and group therapy strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work required
• LSW/LCSW/LPC/LMFT - Preferred
• 3-5 years prior experience with a psychiatric mental health population
• Inpatient psychiatric population experience preferred
• Knowledge of case management, discharge planning, group leadership skills
• Experience running group therapy
• Flexibility for reassignment to units providing care to varied populations including children, adolescents, adults, older adults and dually diagnosed patients in an inpatient hospital setting
• Must be a team player and demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication

Responsibilities

• Provide psychosocial assessments, individual, group and family therapy, participation in treatment team planning, processing commitments, and discharge planning/case management service, crisis intervention and liaison services with referral sources and other departments within the hospital.
• Assist in crisis intervention and ensure safety within designated units.
• Coordinate discharge planning and post-discharge follow-up as part of treatment planning.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care across units.
• Maintain accurate documentation and communication with referral sources and families.
