Job summary

Rapport, a division of FLIK Hospitality Group and part of Compass Group USA, is seeking an Event Coordinator in Chicago to plan and coordinate meetings and conferences across multiple sites. Some travel to the East Coast and Central region may be requested.

You will manage room bookings, coordinate AV and catering, and ensure flawless event execution, with a focus on client satisfaction and seamless operations.

Qualifications

• Previously managed corporate or social events and meetings.
• Basic Logistical Planning Experience.
• Basic Vendor sourcing and management.
• Understanding of Food Services and Catering; ServSafe Certified preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handle meeting room bookings using EMS and maximize space utilization.
• Coordinate services for meetings (AV, catering, room setups, signage) and liaise with clients and vendors.
• Execute events as support or lead, including setup and teardown of meeting space and catering.
• Produce Event Resumes and host Pre-Cons and Post-Cons with clients and onsite teams.
