Hartford HealthCare Medical Group is seeking Medical Assistants to join a fast-paced, patient-focused team. You will deliver clinical and clerical support, including vital signs, medication reconciliation, and assistive procedures under physician supervision, while growing with a structured MA career ladder.

The role emphasizes ongoing training, EPIC EMR proficiency, and a strong emphasis on patient care alongside supportive colleagues in a dynamic healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program OR CT CNA/EMT credential OR related experience.
• BLS/CPR certification within 3 months of hire date.
• All required credentials maintained throughout employment.
• One year of direct patient care experience preferred or considered in lieu of education.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic clinical and clerical support in patient care within the Medical Assistant scope.
• Take vitals, reconcile outside medications and allergies, conduct screenings and collect patient history.
• Perform point of care testing with quality control and documentation.
• Assist providers with in-house procedures as needed.
• Provide scheduling, chart prep, referrals, check-in/out, prior authorizations and transportation facilitation.
