NextCare urgently seeks a detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our fast-paced team. You will support providers with exams, perform clinical procedures, and assist in front-office tasks as needed.

EMR/EHR proficiency and adherence to safety standards are essential, with opportunities for cross-training across clinical and front-office duties. The position emphasizes high-quality patient care, teamwork, and adherence to COLA/CLIA standards across states, including Texas.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• Completed an approved Medical Assistant training program.
• National Certification (CMA/RMA/CCMA) after training.
• Proficient in EMR/EHR systems.
• Experience in a medical office environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assists provider with exams and patient care under supervision.
• Administers medications per policy and safety protocols.
• Performs blood draws and may collect urine samples for testing.
• May perform splinting, casting, and sports physicals.
• Notifies provider of unusual patient events and safety concerns.
• Supports front office reception as needed.
• Adheres to laboratory and accreditation policies; processes specimens in LIS.
