Job summary

Hartford HealthCare Medical Group is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide basic clinical and clerical support within the patient care team. The role involves vitals, history-taking, and assisting with procedures, while maintaining documentation and coordinating schedules.

The ideal candidate has a Medical Assistant diploma or CT CNA/EMT/Paramedic certification and an active BLS credential. EPIC EMR experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma or active CT certification as CNA/EMT/Paramedic is required.
• BLS Provider credential from the American Heart Association obtained within 90 days of hire.
• All required credentials to be maintained throughout employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide vitals, patient history and administrative support in care delivery.
• Conduct point-of-care testing with quality control and documentation.
• Assist providers with in-house procedures as needed.
• Provide scheduling, chart prep, referrals, prior authorizations and transportation facilitation.
• Floats to other offices based on business needs.
