Qualifications

Master’s in mathematics or applied mathematics.
Bachelor’s in mathematics or applied mathematics and master’s in statistics/physics/mathematics education.
California Community College credential.
Equivalency may be considered.

Responsibilities

Maintaining standards of professional conduct and ethics appropriate to the position and currency in teaching mathematics.
Teaching courses in mathematics according to the course outlines of record.
Holding class during scheduled time and in scheduled locations.
Using a variety of pedagogies and technology for face-to-face, online, and hybrid formats.
Communicating effectively with students.
Using effective teaching methods and adhering to course outlines.
Evaluating student progress through tests, assignments, etc., in line with course objectives.
Providing course syllabi to students.
Maintaining classroom records per District policy.
Submitting all required grading and evaluation reports promptly.
Fulfilling duties of instructors as required by Administrative Regulation 7122.
