Qualifications

• Bilingual Spanish preferred.
• Knowledge of building products is a plus.
• Strong data entry and computer skills required.
• Previous experience in logistics or dispatch is preferred.
• Basic math skills necessary for daily tasks.
• Assertive, proactive approach to duties.
• Clear written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to read maps and provide directions quickly.
• Polite, effective phone communication.
• Flexible with work schedule and delivery planning.
• Strong organizational capabilities.
• Positive, can-do attitude in fast-paced environment.
• Good interpersonal relations with customers and peers.
• Ability to follow instructions with limited guidance.

Responsibilities

• Dispatching & Logistics Management: schedule delivery crews safely and efficiently, maximize branch profitability.
• Communicate delivery orders to warehouse and staff accurately and promptly.
• Utilize DOT dispatch software to maintain compliance and performance.
• Provide driver guidance for logistical or service issues as they arise.
• Confirm address, material, stocking conditions, and details before departure.
• Logistics Oversight: verify trucks pre-delivery and monitor labor costs as needed.
• Establish and maintain customer relationships; communicate delivery statuses to sales/management.
• Maintain professional contact with customers before, during, and after sales.
• Attend required delivery-related meetings and adhere to company policies.
• Miscellaneous: support Safety, Customer Focus, Teamwork, Integrity, and be a Company of Choice.
