Job summary

Builders FirstSource is seeking a Retail Sales Associate to assist walk-in customers with product selection, pricing, and availability. You will provide quotes for small projects and enter orders for delivery while maintaining strong customer service and sales techniques.

In this role, you will handle inquiries via in-person, phone, or email, support with pricing and discounts, and help with stock, inventory, and safety procedures throughout the shift.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with six months sales-related experience.
• Knowledge of product pricing, discounts, and estimating formulas/guidelines.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist retail customers via walk-in, phone, or email to select products and provide pricing/availability information.
• Provide material estimates and quotes for small packages (stairs, decks, fences, sheds).
• Enter orders into system and schedule product delivery.
• Plan and pace own work to meet daily/weekly productivity goals.
• Assist with store housekeeping, stocking, inventory control, and safety procedures.
