Job summary

Proviso Township High Schools District 209 seeks an Athletics/Activities Sponsor for IHSA Scholastic Bowl at Proviso East High School. The sponsor will organize, supervise, and promote a student club, serving as mentor and liaison among students, staff, and administration to create a safe, inclusive extracurricular experience.

Key responsibilities include supervising meetings, coordinating with district procedures, and enforcing IHSA eligibility while fostering leadership and community

Responsibilities

• Provide active supervision for all club activities, ensuring safety and compliance with policies.
• Coordinate off-campus activities with district procedures and permissions.
• Comply with mandated reporter requirements and training.
• Guide students in planning meaningful, inclusive activities aligned with the club's mission.
• Communicate expectations clearly and enforce attendance, behavior, and eligibility rules.
• Maintain timely communication with stakeholders about club operations and events.
• Prepare students for participation and provide constructive feedback to support development.
• Manage the club's budget and records following district procedures.
