BEST Crowd Management is seeking an Event Security Officer for the Minneapolis Convention Center. The role focuses on attendee, staff, and property safety during events.

Part-time role with variable shifts, requiring 18+ years, HS diploma, and the ability to stand for long periods. You will patrol, screen entrants, and respond to incidents, coordinating with law enforcement as needed.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old (age requirements may vary).
• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.
• Experience in event security or related fields is advantageous.
• Must be physically fit to stand/walk for long periods.
• Strong observational and problem-solving skills required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Team-oriented and able to work with diverse groups.
• Flexible for evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible, professional presence according to client and BEST standards.
• Patrol assigned areas to deter incidents and protect attendees and staff.
• Monitor access points, perform bag checks, and screen entrants.
• Respond promptly to security incidents and emergencies.
• Collaborate with event staff, law enforcement, and emergency services.
• Provide exceptional attendee assistance and directions when needed.
• Report incidents to supervisors and document activity for leadership.
